Child and Youth Services (CYS) provides quality programs
for children of military, DOD civilian sponsors or government contractors.
The mission of CYS is to promote readiness by reducing conflict
between parental responsibilities and unit missions.
We offer care for children in full day, part day and hourly child care for children between 4 weeks and 6th grade in our Child Development Center (CDC), School Age Services (SAS) or Family Child Care (FCC) centers. Our Youth Services Center provides recreational programs for middle school youth and teens. Both of our School Age Services and Youth Services Centers provide a Technology Lab with state of the art equipment and curriculum from Boys and Girls Club of America and 4-H.
In addition, our sports program offers individual and team sports for children between 4 years and 18 years of age.
Instructional programs are provided by our SKIESUnlimited program for all ages.
Child Care Assistance (CCA) is available to help qualifying
patrons pay for child care.
Funding for CCA is provided by the state of Alaska.
